Rights & Protections of Minorities

Robespierre works hard for the protection of minorities and those looked down upon by corrupt governments. When the Constituent Assembly declared full and equal citizenship for all free people of color, Robespierre commented; "I feel that I am here to defend the rights of men; I cannot consent to any amendment and I ask that the principle be adopted in its entirety."
