Freedom of Speech
Freedom of speech is an extremely important value to Robespierre - when interrupted during a speech about factions in the government and their treachery, he "accused Collot of limiting the freedom of speech,".
He also understand what a corrupted government can do to a country; "If [we] were to be governed for a few months by a corrupted legislature, freedom would be lost," he has said, and he is correct. Robespierre will not stand for freedom being taken away from anyone.
